Crispy and Quick, Guilt-free Air Fried Apple Chips

Apple chips have been a popular snack for centuries, with evidence of dried apple slices being found in ancient Egyptian tombs. In the 1800s, dried apple slices were a common snack for American pioneers and were often used as a substitute for fresh fruit during the winter months. Today, air frying has become a popular method for making crispy and healthy apple chips without the use of oil.

Notes

  • You can use any type of apple for this recipe, but sweeter apples like Honeycrisp or Fuji work best.
  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle some additional cinnamon on top of the apple slices before cooking.
