The concept of air frying was first introduced in 2010 by Philips Electronics, with the release of their air fryer appliance. It quickly gained popularity as a healthier alternative to traditional frying methods, as it uses hot air circulation to cook food instead of oil. This method of cooking has become especially popular for dishes that typically use a lot of oil, such as bacon and other meats.

Ingredients
1 lb pork tenderloin
8-10 slices of bacon
toothpicks
Directions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take your pork tenderloin and wrap it with bacon slices, securing them with toothpicks.
- Place the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15 minutes, flipping the tenderloin halfway through.
- Increase the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the bacon.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once cooked, remove the pork tenderloin from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Be sure to use toothpicks to secure the bacon to the tenderloin, as the air fryer’s fan may blow the bacon off otherwise.
- If your air fryer is on the smaller side, you may need to cook the tenderloin in batches.
- Feel free to add your favorite seasonings or spices to the tenderloin before wrapping it in bacon for extra flavor.
