This delicious sandwich is a unique and tasty twist on the classic grilled cheese. The air frying method gives the bread a crispy and golden exterior while the cheddar cheese and fig jam create a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.


  • 4 slices of bread

  • 4-6 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 4 tablespoons of fig jam

  • 2 tablespoons of butter, softened


  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • On the non-buttered side, spread 1 tablespoon of fig jam on two slices of bread.
  • Place 2-3 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the fig jam.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing up.
  • Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Flip the sandwiches over and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
