Crispy and Quick, Guilt-free Air Fried Chicken Kebabs

Kebabs, also known as skewers, have been a popular dish in various cultures for centuries. The word ‘kebab’ originated from the Persian word ‘kabāb’ meaning ‘roasted meat’. Traditionally, kebabs were cooked over an open fire, but with the invention of the air fryer, we can now enjoy delicious and healthy kebabs without the need for a grill or oven.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon coriander

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • Vegetables of your choice for skewering (bell peppers, onions, zucchini, etc.)

Directions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  • Cut 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes.
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of coriander, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade.
  • Thread the chicken cubes onto skewers, alternating with your choice of vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, and zucchini.
  • Place the skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping the skewers halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious air fried chicken kebabs!

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before threading the chicken and vegetables to prevent them from burning.
  • Feel free to use your choice of vegetables for the kebabs, just make sure to cut them into similar sized pieces so they cook evenly.
  • For an extra kick of flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the cooked kebabs before serving.
