Crab cakes are a popular dish in the United States, particularly in areas with access to fresh seafood such as the Chesapeake Bay region. They are typically made with crab meat, bread crumbs, and various seasonings, and can be served as an appetizer or as a main dish. The use of an air fryer to cook crab cakes is a relatively new trend, as it allows for a healthier and more convenient cooking method compared to traditional frying.
