These crispy and flavorful tacos are a unique twist on the classic fried avocado dish. Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner or a fun appetizer for a party.


  • 1 ripe avocado

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 4-6 tortillas

  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, salsa, cilantro


  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cut an avocado in half and remove the pit.
  • Slice each half of the avocado into thin strips.
  • In a bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, beat 1 egg.
  • Dip the avocado slices into the egg, then coat them in the flour mixture.
  • Place the coated avocado slices in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, then flip the slices and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • While the avocado slices are cooking, warm up 4-6 tortillas in a pan or in the microwave.
  • Remove the avocado slices from the air fryer and place them on a paper towel to cool.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing 2-3 avocado slices on each tortilla and topping with your desired toppings, such as shredded cheese, salsa, and cilantro.
