Crispy and Quick, Guilt-free Air Fried Hash Brown Patties

Hash browns have been a popular breakfast dish in the United States since the early 1900s. They are typically made by shredding potatoes and frying them in a pan until crispy. With the rise in popularity of air fryers, hash brown patties can now be made in a healthier and more convenient way.

Crispy and delicious hash brown patties made in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Cooking spray

Directions

  • Peel and grate the potatoes.
  • Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess moisture.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the grated potatoes, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the hash brown patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 6 minutes, then flip the patties over and cook for an additional 6 minutes.
  • Remove the patties from the air fryer and serve hot.

Notes

  • Make sure to preheat your air fryer before cooking.
  • Feel free to add in any additional seasonings or toppings.
  • Serve hot for best results.
