Crispy on the outside, gooey and melted on the inside – these air fried mozzarella sticks are a healthier alternative to the traditional deep fried version.

Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella sticks

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Directions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cut the mozzarella sticks into halves or thirds, depending on the desired size.
  • In a small bowl, mix together breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
  • In a separate bowl, beat an egg.
  • Dip the mozzarella sticks into the beaten egg, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated mozzarella sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the coating is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the mozzarella sticks from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
