These air fryer old-fashioned pear crisps are a delicious and easy dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth. The pears are coated in a sweet and spicy mixture, topped with a crunchy oat topping, and cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 old-fashioned pears

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Peel and core 4-5 old-fashioned pears.
  • Slice the pears into thin, even slices.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • Place the sliced pears in a large mixing bowl and sprinkle the sugar mixture over them. Toss gently to evenly coat the pears.
  • Place the coated pears in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • While the pears are cooking, prepare the topping. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of melted butter.
  • After 8-10 minutes, remove the pears from the air fryer and sprinkle the topping over them.
  • Place the pears back in the air fryer and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the old-fashioned pear crisps warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any type of pear for this recipe, but old-fashioned pears work best because they hold their shape well when cooked.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these pear crisps in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar and spices in the recipe to your liking.
