A delicious and healthy dessert made with apples stuffed with a sweet and nutty pecan filling, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith apples

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Directions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the top off each apple and use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out the core.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter.
  • Stuff the pecan mixture into each apple, pressing it down lightly.
  • Place the stuffed apples in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Serve the baked apples warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any type of apples for this recipe, but Granny Smith apples work best as they hold their shape well when cooked.
