Crispy and Quick, Guilt-free Air Fried Pork Ribs

Pork ribs have been a staple in American BBQ for centuries. Originally, ribs were cooked low and slow over an open flame, but with the invention of the air fryer, they can now be cooked to perfection in just a fraction of the time. Tender and juicy pork ribs cooked to perfection in an air fryer. This recipe is quick, easy, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend BBQ.


  • 1 rack of pork ribs

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork ribs, making sure to cover all sides.
  • Place the ribs in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
  • Cook the ribs for 20 minutes, then flip them over and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Check the internal temperature of the ribs with a meat thermometer. They should reach 145°F for medium doneness.
  • If the ribs are not fully cooked, continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Once done, let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Optional: Brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce before serving for added flavor.
